When it comes to dresses, there are great dresses and then there are GREAT dresses! I absolutely loved my Easter Sunday outfit! I felt beautiful, confident, and timelessly feminine! This was in large part due to the gorgeous 50s housewife vibes dress I picked up from Savannah Taylor in Chattanooga on Spring Break! I knew as soon as I tried it on that it would make the perfect Easter dress and it did not disappoint!

The Melanie Cotton Floral Midi Dress is a classic A line dress with a sash you could tie in the front or back (I tied mine in a bow in the back) and smocking in the back that lends itself very nicely to fit a variety of bust sizes! I'm only 5'1" so a midi dress tends to fit more like a tailored maxi on me, and I honestly like that!! So it hit around my ankles and worked out great with a pair of espadrilles. Speaking of, I have been soooo pleasantly surprised by these affordable espadrilles I thought I'd give a chance - so glad I did because I struck gold!

I'm loving the look of the ballet wrap sweaters with nap dresses and thought I'd look for something of that nature to pair with this dress for chilly KY spring mornings. I ordered this "faux" wrap sweater (it pulls over your head and has "ribbons" you can tie around your waist) in the sky blue and whisper white. Whisper white ended up being too creamy for the white of the dress but the sky blue was a nice match. I have a small frame but large bust and tummy so sizing can be a bit tricky with clothing like this but I found it to be true to size and was pleased with the look. I have a feeling I'll be back for the other color options for this fall!

As for accessories - I wore the Irene Pearl Stud Earrings we sell here in the shop and I carried this sweet little rattan purse. And if you peep that bow - it is a new ribbon I'm testing... ;) but you can get a similar look with the Ivory Alice Bow (long)!
